An attempt of murder was undertaken on a Pratapgarh’s former councilor and his son, District President of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) in the evening at 7 in their office at Velocity Colony, Pratapgarh.

Jayantilal Rathor (45) and his son Ajay Singh Rathor (21) were attacked by two unidentified shooters on a motorbike who fired a couple of rounds on the father-son duo. Jayantilal Rathore’s stomach was hit with a bullet and Ajay’s took a bullet in his leg.

Rathor, who is a property dealer and his son were taken to a hospital in Pratapgarh but were referred for an urgent transfer to Udaipur and are now admitted in Udaipur.

The Pratapgarh Police has started an investigation on the case.
