All the convicts will be hanged together, but when??

The nation awaits the hanging of the convicts in the Nirbhaya case but the court on March 2nd, 2020, deferred the hanging and the convicts will now live a little longer.
It may be noted that the hanging of these convicts has been deferred the third time. As per the Sessions Judge the hanging cannot be executed pending disposal of mercy petition of Pawan Gupta, one of the convicts.

The 4 convicts were to be hanged on March 3rd by 6 a.m. but once again the death warrant has been deferred.

"Any condemned convict shouldn’t meet his creator with a grievance in his bosom that the courts of this country had not acted fairly in granting him an opportunity to exhaust all his legal remedies"... a Delhi court said on Monday while deferring the hanging of the convicts.

On the 17th February 2020, the court had declared the hanging of the convicts, but now that the convict Pawan has moved a mercy plea, the next date is yet to come up. According to Delhi Prison Rules, if a mercy petition is submitted, a 14-day period has to be given to the convict after the dismissal of the mercy plea.

"This shows the failure of our system. The whole world is watching how justice is being delayed in India," Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi told reporters.
"I lose hope every day but I stand tall everyday. They would have to be hanged. There could not have been a worse case than Nirbhaya but still I am struggling to get justice. The courts are sitting and watching the drama."
Asha Devi said she "loses hope every day" but the convicts will be hanged no matter what they do.
