One arrested for attacking Mahant's car at Dungarpur

Dungarpur police on Monday arrested an accused for attacking the car of Mahant Achyutanand Maharaj a priest from Beneshwar Dam on 25th November.

The accused that was arrested is identified as Ashok Parmar a resident of Kandol village of Dungarpur.

Deputy Sp Vikram Singh told that the accused is already having several cases of loot,rape and attempt of murder on his name. Singh said that it was on 25th November Mahant Achyutanand Maharaj along with his wife and kids went to Saroda village of Dungarpur to meet his parents and was returning back to Sabla in thier car.

As soon as they went on Newari bridge a group of goons attacked them and also pelted stones on the car. The arrested accused has confessed that he along with his associates committed the act in drunken state, said Singh. The accused is being booked under several sections of Indian Penal Code and is still under course of interrogation.
