One hurt, one arrested in violent midnight gunfight

Personal rivalry caused a bloody brawl between two men last night; one man is arrested while other is hospitalized due to assault. A gun fire is also reported in the clash.

 

Personal rivalry caused a bloody brawl between two men last night; one man is arrested while other is hospitalized due to assault. A gun fire is also reported in the clash.

Vishnu Sen and Gajendra Singh both in their mid 30s quarreled over some issue, the brawl went more severe when Vishnu allegedly pointed gun at Gajendra and fired from close range, however Gajendra escaped unhurt.

The incident occurred last night of Thursday 4, 2011 in city’s Ambamata area, though the real motive behind the attack is yet to be known. Till mid night, police was also not clear that who possessed the gun as both were blaming each other.

According to police sources, both of them had met earlier on same evening at Celebration Mall, after that they had another telephonic conversation.

Gajendra Singh was quoted as saying to police officials that Vishnu had called him to Brahmpol where both had some heated argument which later turned into a fight; soon Vishnu pointed a gun at Gajendra and fired, but missed the aim.

However, Vishnu was hospitalized due to injuries he received in a brawl with Gajendra, while Gajendra is arrested.

SP Alok Vashisht, AD.SP Tejraj Singh and S.H.O. Ambamata Niranjan Alaha reached on the spot and directed the further investigation. Police also found unused bullets from the scene.
