In a disturbing event today, a bunch of allegedly drunken youth were reported to have scuffled with the people of the city and tried to steal glasses of the Cars parked outside the Hanuman Temple, Opposite Fatah Sr. Sec. School late in the evening yesterday.

According to the Police, the sloshed individuals, who are assumed to be students got drunk in the Charan Hostel premises and in the influence of heavy alcohol came out and tried to steal glasses of cars parked outside the temple near Surajpol.

They were caught red-handed by the car owners who tried to stop them but were attacked by the group with iron-rods, baseball bats and hockey sticks.

The car owners including Ravi Kalyan, Neeraj Gharu, Rahul Nakwal, Aakash Gussar, Jitendra Gehlot and Mahendra are all residents of Khempura were injured in the brawl. Aakash Gussar who kept his calm informed the Surajpol Police Station where an FIR has been lodged.

On the arrival of the Police, the thugs absconded from the spot. Police though found 2 cartons of beer in the hostel premises.

The Police also informed that a case of 2 students found to be fighting inside the hostel was also registered last Tuesday. The accused were arrested and later released on warning.

The case has been registered and the Police will be further investigating on the issue.
