A peon of the pension department has been arrested by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for taking bribe.

An employee of 4^th grade in Pension and Pensioner’s Welfare department, peon Suresh Chandra Tyagi (63) has been arrested for taking 1500 rupees as bribe from Dushyant Dave who retired from his services from Department of Education. Dushyant Dave wanted a copy of revised PPO for which the peon asked for 1500 rupees. He had taken an advance of 500 rupees and wanted 1000 rupees later.

Dave informed ACB about this and the special team from ACB caught the peon red-handed. The peon got his retirement from Department of Mines and Geology in 2015 and was appointed by Pensioner’s department in March 2018.
