Hathipole Police has managed to solve the case of theft at Capital First finance company in less than a week. 2 people have been arrested in the case.

A case of theft was reported on 11-Oct by Manager of Capital First Finance company. The manager reported that on 9-Oct, when the cleaning staff reached Capital First Office located on the floor above Arth Diagnostics, Madhuban, the staff found the lock broken and cash missing from the locker. Theft of Rs 1,96,000 was reported. The cameras in the office were all broken. An FIR was lodged in this regard with Hathipole Police Station.

A team under the SHO of Hathipole Police station started investigating the CCTV footage of the cameras in the nearby area. The footage showed a man resembling one of the security guards of the building to be likely involved in the incident. Police nabbed the security guard and thoroughly investigated him. The security guard broke down during the investigation and accepted to committing the crime along with his friend.

The arrested security guard said that he had taken a loan for his father’s medication and he carried out the theft to repay the loan. He came to the office at 9pm along with his friend who waited outside the building while he went in the office. After breaking the cameras, he carried out the theft.

Both the security guard and his companion have been arrested.
