Police succeed in catching 3 accused and links to Vehicle thefts

In an attempt to tighten the knob on the rising volume of thefts in the city, a team was formed under the guidance of Dayanand Saran, DYSP. Under this team, three accused were caught and charged at the Ambamata Police Station.

 

In an attempt to tighten the knob on the rising volume of thefts in the city, a team was formed under the guidance of Dayanand Saran, DYSP.  Under this team, three accused were caught and charged at the Ambamata Police Station.

The target of this team was to put a ticker on habitual criminals of the city.  Under this initiative, Akhtar Ali s/o Mohd. Shahzab, resident of Kothiyon ki Guadi, Dhanmandi; Mohd. Ghizali aka Ali s/o Mohd. Saleem aka Attu, resident of Imli Ghaat, near Kaale Saat Masjid and Surendra Kumar s/o Kailash Harijan, resident of Railway Colony, Sukhadia Circle were found suspicious and were taken into custody.

During interrogations they confirmed that they used to steal Vehicles and sell them in states like Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat at lower rates.  They mentioned names of their partners in crime, viz. Dilip s/o Sohan Regar, resident of Regar Colony, Surajpol; Farheed s/o Ahmed, resident of Kaale Saat, Ghantaghar Police Station area and Waseem Khan, resident of Dadawadi, Kota.

They used to steal vehicles from nearly all areas that fall under the Police Stations including Surajpol, Ambamata, Bhopalpura, Sukher and Hiran Magri.  They also confessed for stealing a number of vehicles including Maruti Suzuki, Swift Dezire, TATA Indica Vista, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ritz and cars of Toyota.

They were brought in front of the Judge and are now on remand till 13th July, 2012.
