Team from Ambamata Police Station got into action a Rani Road yesterday evening and took action against over 50 bikers in a road safety drive.
Police reprimanded the bikers and took action in cases of over-speeding, carrying out bike stunts, triple riding and driving vehicles without proper number plate.
Ambamata SHO Chenaram Pachar said that Chetak-5, Sigma, Lady Patrolling team and additional police force carried out the drive at Rani road. A number of bikers also managed to flee the scene.
Considering that over-speeding and reckless driving puts the life of a lot of people (both riders and people on street) at risk, Police also confiscated a set of vehicles and censured the drivers.
