In a shocking incident a senior Congress leader and a notorious gangster have been accused of extortion and making threats against a businessman in Udaipur. The incident has prompted an official complaint at the Bhopalpura police station in Udaipur.

The complainant, Ramesh Jain, a resident of Rajsamand, has alleged that Devkinandan "Kaka," a prominent Congress leader, along with Naresh (who is an alleged gangster) and another associate, unlawfully entered his home and threatened him over a dispute related to a mining operation in Rajsamand. According to the complaint, Devkinandan 'Kaka' threatened Ramesh Jain with dire consequences if he did not comply with his demands.

Pooja Jain, Ramesh’s wife, has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Sunil Suhalka, Congress leader Devkinandan Kaka, and Naresh. The FIR accuses them of making threats to life and extortion. Sunil Suhalka is reportedly an associate of Devkinandan 'Kaka' and Naresh, who is alleged to be working for 'Kaka'.

According to Pooja Jain, on the evening of August 13, a group of individuals arrived in two cars and forcibly entered their home. Among them was Sunil Suhalka, who revealed that Devkinandan 'Kaka' and gangster Naresh were also present. Naresh, according to the complaint, works for Kaka and allegedly threatened Ramesh Jain and his family with violence if they did not comply with Kaka’s demands.

Pooja Jain stated that when she informed the intruders that her husband was not home, they coerced her into calling him. When she contacted her husband, Devkinandan Kaka reportedly took her phone and threatened Ramesh Jain over the call, insisting he follow orders or face severe repercussions. Naresh also threatened Ramesh with death during the phone call. The suspects then left the premises, with one of the cars bearing Congress Committee markings.

Bhopalpura Station House Officer, Mukesh Soni confirmed that an FIR has been registered based on the victim’s complaint. The dispute reportedly revolves around a mining issue in Rajsamand. The police are currently investigating the matter.
