Udaipur- The Chittorgarh police conducted a successful operation on Monday morning, seizing 485 kilograms of poppy husk worth approximately Rs. 70 lakhs from a Scorpio car parked at a farmhouse in the Chanderiya police station circle. The farmhouse, located on Ghosunda Road in Satpuda village, belonged to one Raju Jat, against whom a police case has been registered and a manhunt has been launched after evading capture during the raid.
According to SP Sudhir Joshi, the police received a tip-off about a Scorpio car parked at Raju Jat's farmhouse, suspected to contain a large quantity of illegal poppy husk. Acting on this information, a team from Chanderiya police station, led by SHO Panna Lal, conducted a raid. Although Raju Jat was not present at the farmhouse and managed to escape, the police discovered the Scorpio car loaded with 485 kilograms of poppy husk.
In response to the seizure, a case has been registered against Raju Jat under relevant sections of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act. SP Sudhir Joshi confirmed that efforts are underway to apprehend Raju Jat and bring him to justice.
