The incident at Pratapgarh a few days ago, where a social worker Zafar Khan was allegedly lynched by civic officials has been termed as “natural death” after the Inspector General of Police, Udaipur Anand Srivastava said in his tweet that “Scientific evidence does not suggest murder…”

A case of lynching and murder was being investigated and IG Anand Srivastava had set up a panel of doctors to look into the matter and give their report.  This panel gave its report saying that Khan had died of cardiac arrest.  Srivastava, in his tweet said that there was no visual indication of injury on his body, which might have suggested death.

However, the cardiac arrest could have been caused by the beating up, is another matter which probably will let be in the court of law.
