Praveen Paliwal murder case gets special prosecutor

The sensational 2014 Praveen Paliwal murder case has changed orbit after it was escalated to high sensitive status and a Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) has been appointed by the State.
Advocate Ravindra Singh Hiran, a well known legal practitioner in the region, has been appointed as Special Public Prosecutor in the high profile Praveen Paliwal murder case, where he will conduct trial for State to secure criminal proceedings against the prime accused Naresh Harijan and Saahil.
The case State vs Saahil and Others is under review at the Additional District and Sessions Court 1 under Sessions case No. 11/2017 and is registered under FIR # 125/2014 at Bhupalpura Police Station under section 302, 307, 449, 120B, 34BD,, 7/25 and 8/25.
Under the judicial machinery, the state has a panel of advocates who are assigned the task of conducting trial on behalf of the state. However, when a case is assigned special sensitive or sensational status, the State has been permitted to appoint a special advocate as Public Prosecutor to take up the case in court on behalf of the State.
It may be noted that Naresh Harijan, the mastermind behind the murder was arrested from Chittorgarh in March 2014 and the two member team viz. Saahil and Karan executing the murder, were arrested earlier.
