Refusal to accompany mother to market led to this heart wrenching incident.

Rajsamand - A 13 year old boy ended his life at Puthol area of Rajsamand district after his mother refused to take him to the market with her on Wednesday, 8 May.

According to Yogesh Chauhan, Station House Officer of Rajnagar police station, the child (name witheld) wanted to accompany his mother to the market but she refused to take him with her to protect him from the scorching heat. 

Annoyed with the refusal of his mother the boy hanged himself with the ceiling of his room using his mother's saree.

Upon her return to the house, the boy's mother got busy with her work, believing that her son was sleeping inside his room. But later when she went to wake him up and knocked his room he did not responded, said SHO Yogesh Chauhan.

When she peeked inside the room from the window she discovered that his lifeless body was hanging from the ceiling. She immediately called the police following which a team from Rajnagar police station rushed to the scene and pulled down the dead body of the deceased boy and shifted it to the mortuary, SHO added.

SHO Rajnagar Police Station Yogesh Chauhan said" During the investigation of the matter it was found that the victim boy was the the only son of his family. He was a student of Class 6 and was studying at the Government Higher Secondary School, Puthol. He was a bright student and the topper of his class. He had scored 90% marks in Class 5 too. He also has an elder sister who is  studying in Class. 7. But it was also found that beside being good in studies, he was allegedly a stubborn boy and often used to loss his cool. However the postmortem of the dead body was conducted on Thursday morning and his dead body was handed over to his family members, initially it is found that annoyed with her mother's refusal he committed the act".

Chauhan said that his father works in Vietnam, and he immediately left for India after getting the information about his son's death.
