Udaipur,23.09.23 - A Protection of Children from Sexual Abuses (POCSO) court in Udaipur sentenced an accused for 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and also slapped him wtih a fine of rupees 1.7 lakhs for kidnapping and raping a minor girl several times in 2019. 

The court convicted the accused a resident of Mandalgad area of Udaipur with 20 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 1.7 lakhs for kidnapping and repeatedly raping the victim girl on different occasions.

The father of the rape survivor lodged a complaint at Nai police station 27th July 2019 alleging that the accused lured and kidnapped his 16 year old daughter from outside her house and took her to Tamil Nadu in a train and raped her there on different occasions.

Acting upon the report of the father of the victim girl the police registered a case under several sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) including section 363 (punishment of kidnapping) and section 366 (protect minor girls (below the age of 18) from being forced or seduced to illicit intercourse with another person) section of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act and launched an investigation. The police arrested the accused on 11 August 2019 since than he was under judicial custody and the matter was under trail, special Public Prosecutor Sayed Hussain said.

After listening to 19 witnesses and considering 30 relevant document the judge of POCSO Court -2 held the accused guilty of rape and sentenced him for 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and also slapped him with a fine of Rs. 1.7 lakhs.

On the other hand the bail plea of the rape accused that raped a 9 year old girl and killed her and chopped her body into several pieces at Mavli police station circle pf Udaipur was also rejected by the court on Friday.

The incident occured on 29 March when the victim girl was lured by the accused one of her neighbor for chocolate and was raped inside his house. He brutally killed her and chopped her body into as many as 10 pieces and dumped the body into an isolated house located few meters away from victim's house. Later the accused arrested and during the investigation of the matter it was found that the accused was found pf watching porn films on mobile phone and he had committed the crime after seeing few of such films before the crime.
