Parents of a 15 year old girl filed a complaint at the Hiran Magri police station in Udaipur against a youth and one of his associates for allegedly raping their daughter and spreading an objectionable video on social media on Monday.

Station House Officer of Hiran Magri police station Ram Sumer Meena, who is the investigating officer in the case, said "The incident reported actually occured in August 2022 but has been reported now as the matter came to light after the video of the victim girl was made viral by the accused on 5 July 2023. A case has been registered under sections of Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act ) and IT Act and the investigation is underway. More facts will be revealed once the investigation will get over and the accused are arrested".

As per the police, the victim is a 10th grade student and the incident  reportedly occurred after the sister of the accused met the victim at a tution center. They became freinds and her brother also came in contact with the victim. They shared numbers and started talking to each other. He started sending messages on her mobile phone and one day he asked her to send a a private video of hers, to which she refused.

In their report, the victim's parents mentioned that one day the accused forced their daughter to make physical relations with him but when she denied to do so he raped her and made some videos of her. The girl however did not share the incident with anyone since then, but the matter came to light when an objectionable video of the victim was shared in her school WhatsApp group. The school management immediately informed her parents about the video. Later, the victim' s family also learnt that the same video was shared by the accused on Instagram and one of his friends is also involved in the crime.

The parents of the victim contacted the Police on Monday, 10 July  and lodged a case against the two accused.
