Both students of the RNT Medical College, who indulged in the Sunday night brawl were suspended from College.

Such strict action was taken after an Academic Committee thoroughly discussed the issue under the chair of Dr. S.K Kaushik, Principal of RNT Medical College with other representatives of the Investigation Committee.

The students, Sushil Kumar (Second year) and Anil Kumar Nerolia (Third Year) had a fight with each other, following which Anil bit off Sushil’s ear, causing serious injury. Anil ran away after the incident, while Sushil was rushed to hospital and had to undergo emergency surgery.

In the meeting today, both students were suspended after the investigation committee presented the report, which described both Sushil and Anil’s wrong activities in the hostel, including assault, etc.

Dr. Kaushik told UT, “Seeing ALL the past cases of both the students, the administration has taken the decision.”

It was also noted that on the day of the incident, both the students were drunk.

Sushil was earlier suspended from Hostel for his misdeeds. What was he doing in the hostel on 7^th July

Anil had several cases of physical assault, etc. against his name.

However, the College Authorities have given another 7 days for the Investigation Committee to present their reports again. The College will also give another chance to both students to come forward with their defense.
