Anti Corruption Bureau team arrested Dungarpur Roadways Depot’s Operation Manager over a bribe of Rs. 2000 that he took from a driver.

DSP-ACB Brijendra Singh Bhati informed that Operation Manager Bhagwatsingh Mehta, resident of Udaipur was nabbed while taking bribe from roadways driver Shivdayal Singh in his chamber. The victim had complaint regarding Singh who used to take Rs. 1000 every month as bribe against duty.

When victim Shivdayal refused to pay as he hadn’t received two months’ salary, Singh warned him that he will be removed from his post. Shivdayal reported this incident to Dungarpur Bureau on Tuesday after which the ACB team came in action.

After Shivdayal gave bribe of Rs. 2000 to Singh in his chamber, he was rounded up by ACB team. The team found Rs. 44,700 cash from his rented house. His home at Udaipur was also searched by the team. The receipts of money collected from the drivers were also found in his Dungarpur house.
