Rs 1.1 Cr betting racket busted in Udaipur
Team from Sukher Police Station arrested one person for involvement in a major betting racket in Udaipur. The accused was nabbed for alleged involvement in betting on yesterday's IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians.
Team from Sukher Police Station arrested one person for involvement in a major betting racket in Udaipur. The accused was nabbed for alleged involvement in betting on yesterday’s IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians.
Police actioned on information revealed by a police informer about possible betting going on in the accused’s house. A special police team lead by SHO Subodh Jangid raided Keshav Nagar resident of Nitesh Kothari (32).
On raiding the house, police found a special room on the terrace that was equipped with all gadgets programmed for betting. This room was designed primarily for abetting betting activities.
Police seized 1 LED, 10 mobile, 1 laptop along with documents involving betting deals of up to Rs 1.1 Crore. The document had names of peoples and deals written in a coded format.
