Moving forward towards solving the shocking incident of a daylight firing on a businessman and politician Sanjay Bhandari, Udaipur court has sent two of the accused Waseem and Sulaiman on a seven day remand.

Both were arrested yesterday on 15th August near Paras Hotel.  In the initial interrogation, the duo confessed to taking ‘Supari’ to kill Sanjay Bhandari over a property issue.  The deal was given by another history sheeter Shakeel alias Matta who is absconding.

According to Surajpol Police, the contract to kill Bhandari was essentially given by one Praveen Vaishnav to Shakeel for Rs.40 Lac, Shakeel later appointed three men (Waseem, Sulaiman and Waseem Khan) to execute the crime.  The third accused Waseem Khan is also absconding.

The attack at Bhandari took place on Tuesday, 14th August near Sarv Ritu Vilas; Bhandari closely escaped with minor injuries.

Police also informed that the land accusation is the reason of the felony.  According to the sources, there is a 3 Bigha agriculture land at Balicha which was possessed by Sanjay Bhandari and one of the prime accused Praveen Vaishnav wanted to acquire that land.

Bhandari purchased the land from Sohanlal Meena and registered it on his known name.
