A newlywed bride was caught well in time by the family members when she was about to run away with all the valuables she could manage to pack.

Another in the series of ‘Luteri dulhan’, a family in Udaipur got the shock of their life when the newlywed bride in their family tried to run away with valuables. This bride tried her level best to rob the family on the very third day of marriage.

Police have arrested Pooja d/o Munnalal Vishwakarma of Baingangarh, Raisen Nagar of Madhya Pradesh based on a report filed by Pushkarlal s/o Bhanwarlal Menaria. Pooja was married to Yugal Kishore Menaria s/o Pushkarlal Menaria. For the wedding Dharmendra Jat of Ratlam, Pradip Gaur, Jagdish Gour and Ganga Bai Bhatt of Bhopal had taken 2 lakh rupees from Menaria family. Police will go to Bhopal and Ratlam to arrest these four people, also accused in this case.

The wedding took place in a temple in Udaipur. After the alliance was agreed upon, Dharmendra, Pradip, Jagdish and Ganga Bai reached Udaipur with 10-15 people for the wedding. They took 2 lakh rupees from Menaria family and the wedding ceremony was conducted in a temple in Udaipur. Pooja signed papers in court with Pradip and Jagdish as witnesses. Since Pooja did not have any proof of identity, her family members left her in Udaipur and went back to their respective home towns on the pretext of getting papers.

When Menaria family tried to contact them on the third day of their departure from Udaipur, none of them could be contacted as all mobiles were switched off. They tried to confront Pooja who, to their shock, was about to run away with the valuables she had packed. The matter was taken to former ASP Bhagwat Singh Hinger who instructed Bhopalpura police station to take immediate action.

Pushkarlal Menaria was in search of a bride for his son. He met GangaBai through his relative. Ganga Bai is mother-in-law of Pushakarlal’s relative. Pooja’s mother passed away long back. All the accused from Bhopal and Ratlam planned this entire wedding only to rob the groom’s family.
