Rupees 98,000 were stolen from a shop situated in Bohrawadi on Sunday evening.
The Police have nabbed one of the helpers at the shop, Aadil, resident of Bicchughati and he has confessed to the crime.
Sajjad Hussain, owner of the shop, had been busy with the local elections over the last week and was not regular to his shop.  During his absence the shop was being looked after by his two salesmen Laxman and Aadil.
On Monday morning Aadil informed Sajjad that the locks of the shop were open and the drawer had been looted.  On information, the Police investigated the alibis and were informed that the door lock was computerised.  A duplicate key could not be made unless the lock was taken to the manufacturers and also that there was no such facility available in Udaipur.
The Police hence rounded up the workers and Aadil was interrogated, since he was responsible for opening the shop and it was Aadil who informed the owner of the theft in the morning.
After rigorous interrogation Aadil confessed that he had taken the money from the drawer on Sunday morning and kept it at his home.  He and Laxman had then looked after the shop the whole day. Laxman had closed the shop on Sunday evening and when Aadil opened the shop on Monday morning, he created a look of theft around the shop and informed Sajjad, the owner.
