Saras Dairy Chairperson Demands Rs.10,000 Bribe, arrested by ACB

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Udaipur has arrested Geeta Patel (in photo above), the Chairperson of Saras Dudh Dairy for demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 for allotment of a new Saras Dairy Booth.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Udaipur has arrested Geeta Patel (in photo above), the Chairperson of Saras Dudh Dairy for demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 for allotment of a new Saras Dairy Booth.

Sandeep Lashkar, resident of Lakhara Chowk had met Patel on 31st May inquiring about the allotments of Saras Dairy Booths. Patel informed him that the application for the booth is Rs 15000 and he will have to pay her Rs 10000 extra for her approval on the board.

Lashkar filed a complaint against Patel to the ACB and the bureau advised him to file the application for the booth allotment and deposit Rs 15000.

Sandeep completed his final deposit and application on 27th June and Geeta Patel had asked him to come down to her house at Mayur Bhawan in Hiran Magri, Sector 4, to give her the bribe money.

ACB Lodges complaint against conspirators of Geeta Patel case

ACB had marked the currency notes which comprised the Rs 10000 bills that Sandeep bribed Patel with and later raided the Chairperson’s house and arrested her.

The ACB team leading this operation was operating under the directions of Rajendra Prasad Goyal, Additional Superintendent of Police. The team included Kanaihya Lal Gurjar, ACB CI; Babu Lal Vikram and Ram Avatar, Head Constables; Akhtar and Munir, Constables.
