Sarpanch demanded rs5000 for a signature, arrested by ACB
In latest of actions taken by the Anti Corruption Bureau of Udaipur, a Sarpanch of Kaladwas, near Udaipur has been arrested today after he was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000 to sign a document related to property transfer. According to ACB officials, Satyanarayan Salvi, 54, Sarpanch of Kaladwas, demanded money from Mangilal Dangi who needed to transfer a two-and-half beegha land belonging to his departed Uncle, to his name.

According to ACB officials, Satyanarayan Salvi, 54, Sarpanch of Kaladwas, demanded money from Mangilal Dangi who needed to transfer a two-and-half beegha land belonging to his departed Uncle, to his name. When Manglilal went to Satyanarayan to get a related document signed, he was asked to shell out a bribe of Rs. 5,000 to get the work done.
Manglilal complained to the ACB about this and acting on the information given by Mangilal, the ACB team arrested the Sarpanch red handed.
“We have arrested the sarpanch and will produce him in court; while further investigations are going on”, one of the ACB officers told UT.
