School bus driver gets 10 years of imprisonment under POCSO Act

A school bus driver has been awarded 10 years of imprisonment under POCSO Act. The case dates back to 2017 when 2 little kids complained of the driver’s misdeeds to the parents. The father of the children aged around 4 and 5 years of age lodged a complaint in April 2017 against the driver of private school bus. As per the complaint the driver Mohammd Ayub physically harassed the little girl. He did the same to her brother as well. The driver touched the private parts of the innocent children and also threatened them.

The court declared that such an act by the driver is extremely shameful and unacceptable. He has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment along with a penalty of 10,000 rupees based on the statements and witnesses obtained in this case.
