Senior Citizens Robbed, chose not to register complaint An elderly couple from Ahmadabad was robbed, allegedly by an auto rickshaw driver today at around 12:30pm at the Pahadi Bus Stand, Chetak Circle. Both the victims (names not disclosed), though, have decided not to lodge a complaint and have requested ceasing any further investigation on the matter.

Approximately Rs.5,700/- were found missing when the elderly man came out of a 12-seater auto rickshaw, which he and his wife took from Pratapnagar Railway Station to Prabhat Nagar at Hiran Magri Sector 5. Instead of taking them to their desired location, the auto driver took them to the Pahadi Bus Stand and asked to take another auto for Sector-5.

While the man came out of the rickshaw, his wife continued to argue with the auto driver and remained seated. According to a few eye witnesses, the frustrated auto driver whose identity has not yet been revealed took off in his vehicle towards Panchwati whilst the old lady kept screaming for help.

The auto driver then stopped in front of Lok Kala Mandal and ran away with one of his associates from there.

The terribly frightened couple called the Police and reached the Hathi Pol Police Station for complains, but they later withdrew their complaint giving reason that they had to go back to Ahmedabad today.

According to sources, both husband and wife visit Udaipur often to meet their relatives who stay in Hiranmagri.
