Several Injured in Mumbai Serial Blasts: City on High Alert

On Wednesday evening, the jovial city – Mumbai once again came to a standstill when three serial blasts rocked the metropolitan, having once again creating a sense of fear and insecurity among the larger then life -Mumbaikars.

Several Injured in Mumbai Serial Blasts: City on High AlertA series of sequential blasts occurred at areas such as, Zaveri Bazaar in South Mumbai housing the famous Mumbadevi temple, then at Kabutarkana, which is 2km far from the Dadar station and finally at Opera House, Charni Road.

According to an initial report, 8 people are feared dead while 70 others have been injured in the blasts. The report says that the blasts took place in vehicles.

The first blast took place at Zaveri Bazaar and was followed by a blast in Dadar in a taxi and then at Opera House.

Following the blasts in Mumbai,all the Indian states have been put on a high alert, the NSG (National Security Guard) is in a full swing to tackle to any untoward situation. The states have called for the NIA team (National Investigation Team) to overtake the situation

The Union Ministers have confirmed that it is a terror strike. Police, ambulances and fire brigades have been sent to the spot to cater to the injured and have taken the situation under control.
