In a disturbing event today, an elderly widow, Rama Kataria (60) was robbed off gold jewelry at 9:30 in the morning by two men on a bike.

Kataria, resident of 3,2 Shakti Nagar was walking back to her home from Baghwati Mandir, when a bike stopped near her and the pillion rider snatched four Gold Bangles of 1.5 tola each from her wrists.

The victim described the snatcher as a 55-60 year old chubby man.  Kataria’s son, Jai Kataria who owns and runs Udaipur Book Store, Chetak Circle informed the Surajpol Police Station about the incident.

“It all happened within seconds and I was unable to stop the thieves”, said Rama Kataria who religiously goes to the Baghwati Mandir every day in the morning.

 The Police have barricaded all the city exits and the railway station.
