An incident of sudden disappearance of two people, including, a Chittorgarh based advocate, on the night of 24 Aug, has unwrapped today, after been reported by the team of special police force who detained them yesterday night for possessing allegedly doubtful and rare handicraft items.

Both, Advocate Anil Sen, who also deals in handicraft items, resident of Rampol Gate Chittorgarh and Adarsh Mathur, resident of sector-7, Udaipur, were arrested under section 109 IPC and later released on bail today morning.

A missing person complaint was lodged by family members of both at Surajpol Police station last night, after the car of Anil Sen was found abandoned at Durga Nursery Road.

However, both were arrested by Special Police force and were taken to Ghanta Ghar Police Station for interrogation.

Rare items, including, a stiletto (khanjar), an idol of Lord Parshwanath, and two old documents written in Persian and Hindi language were seized from them.

The idol was found from the house of one Narendra Shrivastava, police reached him through another man Bhavdev Singh, alias, Prince. The names of Narendra and Bhavdev were disclosed by Anil and Adarsh during interrogation.

According to police, information was received of two people possessing rare stiletto, with the intention to sell it. Undercover policemen approached Anil Sen as a customer and asked him to meet at Durga Nursery Road on 24 Aug night. Soon after the meeting police detained them.

In initial interrogation, accused revealed the price of stiletto to be Rs.8 Lac as the handle is made of ‘Neelam stone’, they also told that the rare statue of Lord Parshwanath is costing Rs.35 Lac. However, upon inspection of the value of items, police overruled the entire claim made by the duo.

According to information provided by sources, both Anil Sen and Adarsh Mathur were released on bail.
