In an incident of late night stabbing, one person was killed while 2 others were seriously injured. The incident happened on Tuesday night at Mewafarosh area, Mukherjee Chowk.

Lal Mohammed and his family had gone for a wedding ceremony. When they returned home at night, the accused, Mohseen (alias Panna Mochi) staying on the ground floor of their house, picked up a fight with Lal Mohammed and family. At this, Lal Mohammaed called his brother Ashraf Hussain (52) to his house. Ashraf immediately reached there along with his son Ali Mohammed. Angered by the situated Mohseen attacked all 3 of them with a sharp knife.

Relatives rushed the three to MB Hospital. Ashraf died during treatment while the other two were taken for emergency operation. Condition of Lal Mohammed was critical.

To cover up his side, Mohseen smashed his head against wall to highlight a case of self defense. Mohseen then went to Dhanmandi Police Station to lodge a complaint. When Dhanmandi Police took him to MB hospital, the entire story cleared up. Mohseen was immediately arrested by the Police.

Incidentally, Ashraf’s father Mohammed Hussain had given the lower portion of the house to Mohseen’s family quite some time back for staying. Ashraf had moved out with family to stay in Khanjeepeer. Owing to bad company, Mohseen had gone on to get involved in petty everyday crimes.

Case of murder and attempt to murder have been registered against Mohseen.

Update: Lal Mohammed also passed away on Wednesday during treatment.
