Goverdhan Vilas Police nabbed three youngsters yesterday, in relation to stealing bikes from city areas and assaulting trucks on NH8. All three accused are teenagers between 19-20 years of age.

According to Police, Gyana, Suresh and Dhanna were nabbed by the police during checking of vehicles. All three accused were riding on one bike which they later accepted to have stolen. The trio accepted to have stolen12 bikes and robbing 6 trucks on NH8.

They informed police that their modus operandi was to either dress as females and stop the trucks on NH8 or to throw stones on moving trucks and when any truck stops to enquire they used to beat the Driver and Helper and rob the goods and money.

In bike thefts, initially they stole bikes simply for the pleasure of riding new bikes, which later turned into an obsession and occupation.They used to gather details first and then steal bikes on precise moments when no one noticed.

Police informed that the trio used to spend the money on liquor and new clothes.
