A woman from Tidi shamed mother-daughter relationship by giving it an ugly turn. The case pertains to an area which falls under Tidi police station. A step-mother sold off her minor daughter to a man in Gujarat. All people in this case have been arrested.

The victim told police that her step-mother took her out on the pretext of an outing. Thereafter, she took him to an agent and sold her off in 80,000 rupees. This agent kept her hostage for around 4 months and then sold her to a man in Gujarat on a very high price. The victim tried to escape a number of times but in vain. Later she took the phone of a man who happened to be the neighbour where she was kept hostage. She informed one of her relatives through the neighbour’s phone and somehow managed to escape from the place.

After reaching home, she narrated the entire incident to her father. Both father and daughter went to the police station and registered their complaint. Police arrested the step-mother and the female agent Sharda. Police is now strictly investigating the case and interrogating the accused.
