The police arrested 14 people including ASI in connection to the stone-pelting incident that took place at Bhairav Colony, at Khempur late at night. The police had reached the residence upon a complaint of loud music at late hours due to a wedding ceremony taking place.

The sangeet ceremony was taking place at the residence of nephew of ASI Narulal. The tent was constructed in the middle of the road which was obstructing the traffic as well. When the constables reached the scene at 12.30 AM, the drunk relatives refused to shut the music. The team of ASI Lal Singh reached the scene who was welcomed with stones being thrown at them.

During the stone pelting, 2 constables and a police officer received injuries along with destroyed glass of the police jeep. Thereafter, 14 people including ASI Narulal were arrested by the police. However, Narulal and groom’s brother got bailed later.
