An unfortunate incidence of Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) came to light, where a group of vendors involved in encroachment misbehaved with Shyam Lal Dhawal, appointed as Home Guard in the Corporation.

According to the victim, a group of people at UMC campus misbehaved with him, ascribing him to be a part of the anti-encroachment drive carried out in various parts of city.

He added, that this group was of street venders who were removed by officials for encroaching road sides.

Shyam Lal further informed that he discussed about the incident with higher officials of Municipal Corporation; although he did not launch any FIR yet.

Sources inform that Shyam Lal Dhawal was with squad during an anti-encroachment drive collectively held at Sukhadia Circle and Dudh Talai areas. The group, agitated over the action reached UMC Campus earlier this afternoon but due to a weeky day-off at the Corporation did not find any official to talk over the issue.
