Two students of Guru Gobind Singh School of Udaipur have been admitted to hospital after they were allegedly beaten up by their teacher. Students Sameer Khan of class 12th received serious head injuries and was brought to hospital in an unconscious state, while the other student, Matin Khan got severe cuts on the back and injuries on the chest area.

A FIR has been registered against Jeevanlal Daranga, the teacher who allegedly thrashed the above named students of class 12th (Arts) for not complying with his commands.

However, the teacher has blamed students for abusing him verbally and physically. “When I asked them to go back to the classroom, they tried to assault me” said Jeevanlal.

According to sources, the incident occurred today morning when a few students, including Sameer and Matin were standing on the school grounds; the teacher Jeevanlal asked them to go back to their classroom but the students ignored his instructions which made Jeevanlal angry.

Sources say that he started beating Sameer and Matin with an iron rod, injuring them badly while the other students ran away from the vicinity.

Both the injured students were rushed to M.B Hospital by the Police, who immediately arrived in school and took the situation under control.

The Principal of the school, Kailashchandra Paliwal said in a defensive tone, “there are many aggressive and rowdy students here, but I am going to setup an investigation committee to check the matter.”

Sameer’s parents approached Alok Vashishta, Superintendent of Police when the local Police Thana officers refused to lodge a complaint and later a FIR was registered against the teacher.

The incident sparked an agitation among the parents of both students as they pleaded for justice and demanded strict action against the teacher.
