In unrelated incidents, two people committed suicide by hanging themselves. While one incident was reported in Goverdhan Vilas Police Station area, other was reported in Surajpole Police Station area.

In one incident, a man reportedly in inebriated condition ended his life last night. The deceased has been identified as Pappu (40) ss/o Nana lal Meena. He was apparently habituated to drinking and would come home drunk every night. He had not been working for past few days. Last night he came back drunk and went to a room close to his house and hanged himself. His family members saw him hanging today morning and informed the police. Goverdhan Police reached the spot and handed over the body to relatives after post mortem.

In another case, a man ended life by hanging himself to death at Tekri Peepli Chowk area falling under Surajpole Police Station. The deceased Rakesh Singh (47) s/o Arjun Singh was with his wife and kids only at his house. After wife and kids went to sleep in afternoon, he went to the kitchen and hanged himself. In the interim, his wife woke up. She immediately got him down. At this time, his heart was still pumping. Rakesh was taken to MB Hospital where he was pronounced dead during treatment.
