The calmness of the city has clogged suddenly with a shocking wave of terror when a threatening message of blowing up Udiapol Bus Stand has been received through a letter. The city police instantly came into action and tightened up the security of Bus Stand and all major points of the city.
A letter saying, “On October 11, 2011 Udaipol Bus Stand will blow down by bomb blast,” was found lying at ATM of ICICI Bank’s Udiapol branch today afternoon. A bank employee informed the bank manager about it and they informed it to the police immediately.
“We have stiffened security and started investigating the matter,” says Tejraj Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police.
“There is no clue about the person who left this threatening note at the bank premises so far. However, the bank is cooperating with police by sharing the CCTV footage to chase the suspect or to find any helpful information to reach the offender,” says the officer.
The officer said, “We have deployed policemen in civil dress to patrol the bus stand and also started checking everyone entering or exiting the place,” which is visited by thousands of commuters every day.
