Theft at Income Tax officer’s residence

Suspected thieves stole cash and ornaments worth lacs of rupees from the house of an Income Tax officer, residing at Ambamata.

The victim Om Prakash of Shanti Van colony, Ambamata was out of Udaipur from last few days. When he returned back on Tuesday morning, he discovered that thieves stole gold ornaments of more than Rs. 1.25 lakhs, and Rs.11000 cash.

Om Prakash immediately rushed to Ambamata police station and lodged a report of theft.

Investigation of the matter has been started and police has detained few suspects from the area.
