Thieves are at ease in Udaipur city. Even broad daylight does not deter them from committing crime. One such incident of theft occurred in Goverdhan Vilas area on Monday.

Teacher by profession, Meera Lodha had left for school on Monday. Her husband was also out of town. Her son and daughter also left for school and college respectively. When Meera returned home from school in the afternoon, she found that her house had been burgled. The lock of the main door was broken and all belongings in the house were lying scattered. The thieves did a good search in the house and escaped with all the cash and gold and silver jewellery. They also took away expensive watches. A report was filed in Goverdhan Vilas police station in this matter.

It has been reported that a theft occurred four years, too, in the same house. Sadly, thieves have not been arrested till now.
