Theft of Sandalwood Tree at MB Hospital

An incidence of sandalwood theft from city’s premium MB Hospital raised questions about the security measures of the hospital.  

Last night, unidentified thieves cut down a 20 ft long sandalwood tree situated at the hospital premise and fled with 7 ft tree trunk. Whereon one hand, Hathipol police station SHO Rajesh Sharma termed this theft as an act by smart thieves, the hospital’s SP Dr. Tarun Gupta is unaware of the theft.

According to the sources, the sandalwood tree was planted in the garden near the main gate which was cut down by the thieves. They separated the huge trunk and took it with them. The security personnel neither were aware of the theft nor were they present at the location of this incidence.
