Nilofar Khan w/o Colonel Khan, is a teacher at Delhi Public School and was not at home when the incident occurred and was informed by her maid Hussaina.

According to the police, Nilofar Khan had left home in morning for work and her 15 yr old daughter went to school. The maid, who was alone, locked the house at 12.30 PM and left to attend to some work.

When she returned, she witnessed a few women fleeing the scene from the terrace of the house. Suspicious, Hussaina tried to open the door but found it locked from inside. She immediately called Nilofar but she did not receive the call. Some neighbors eventually came to help Hussaina and broke the entrance door.

On entering the house, it was found to have been ransacked. The locker was opened and many precious items were also not found. The thieves, however, left all imitation jewelry pieces as well as mobile phone chargers. Police have started their investigation by taking finger prints etc.

Interestingly, the crime had been committed in just half an hour. It is also a matter of surprise that the suspected thieves had jumped from the terrace which was nearly 15-16 feets in height from ground.
