A conventional road accident case turned into one big illegal liquor catch by the Police when Pratap Nagar Police seized a truck in accident case, which was later found to be smuggling illegal liquor approximately worth Rs. 50 Lacs travelling from Haryana to Gujarat.

According to the Police, Bherulal Gameti, resident of Nala Fala Village, Debari was returning to Debari form Udaipur early in the afternoon, when his vehicle was hit by a truck that was coming from the opposite direction on the Debari Highway.

The truck driver absconded from the spot, leaving the victim bruised. The passerby informed the Police and called the 108 ambulance for the victim who was later taken to a private hospital.

The Police seized the truck, which was later found to be carrying the illegal liquor with an Army Equipment  Bilty (receipt), which was found in the truck.

The Police will be presenting the details on the illegal consignment tomorrow.
