Udaipur,11.12.23- The district police arrested two men in connection with a NRI Doctor Sanjay Narottam Patel murder  on  Monday hours after he was found dead in mysterious circumstances here near the Jain Temple located on Chungi Naaka on Sunday.

Those arrested were identified as Hitesh Udasi alias Rahul a resident of Shree Ram Apartment Savina and Divesh Sahu alias Langda a resident of Cement Gali Kali Baori area under Dhan Madi police station circle of Udaipur.

In their preliminary interrogation the accused has told the police team that they had an heated argument with the deceased doctor on on Saturday night over a matter related cash. They dragged him in their car , he got hit with an iron pole and fell down on the floor sustaining a severe head injury. They fled away immediately after the incident, said police.

Police was informed by one of the deceased doctor's friend Pragnesh Patel who was sleeping in the hotel room at the time of incident and was informed about it from the watchman of the facility. In his report Patel stated that the watchman told him that Doctor Sanjay was waiting at the reception of the hotel minutes before the incident and was talking to someone on his mobile phone. suddenly a car came outside the hotel and Sanjay went out, he was talking to the occupants of the car, he took out some cash from his pocket and handed it over to the people inside the car , they had an argument and the car started moving with the doctor allegedly hanging on one of the gate of the car, few few meters doctor fell down and sustained head injury.

Upon getting the information of the incident a team from Goverdhan Vilas police led by IPS Rajat Vishnoi and SHO Rao Ajay SIngh rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation into the matter.

Initially it was hard to comment weather it was an accident or a murder. however the dead body was shifted to mortuary a case has been registered under  Section  384, 304 IPC and the police teams started collecting facts about the death of the doctor who was a resident of Patan area of Gujarat was staying here at the hotel since 8th December.
