Udaipur administration has registered and FIR against Roshan Singh, a resident of Gurgaon, Haryana for failing to abide by the COVID protocol and quarantine guidelines.  This is presumably the first case of this kind in Rajasthan.

Passenger from Haryana was not carrying a COVID -ve certificate

Roshan Singh travelled to Udaipur from Gurgaon and as per the state guidelines, was supposed to present a COVID -ve certificate at the airport on landing at Udaipur. He was not carrying a COVID -ve report, and as per protocol and guidelines, his sample was taken at the airport.  His sample was found to be COVID +ve, subsequent to which he was instructed to stay under 14-day institutional quarantine at a hotel in Pratapnagar.

Absconded inspite of restrictions

Roshan Singh absconded from Hotel Yois on 20 March, without completing his 14 day quarantine period. He took an Indigo flight to Delhi from Udaipur and went to Gurgaon from there.  An FIR was registered on his name, for endangering the lives of other people as he was travelling despite being found COVID +ve. This is a crime under Section 270 of the Indian Penal Code. He has also been registered under Sections 51 and 52 of the National Disaster Management Act.
