Udaipur Car Gangrape Case: Bail Plea of Woman Accused Rejected
Additional District Judge (ADJ) Court No. 2 rejects bail petition of the woman accused; all three accused are currently in judicial custody
Udaipur, Jan 7, 2026 - In connection with the high-profile alleged gangrape case in Sukher police station of Udaipur, the Additional District Judge (ADJ) Court No. 2 has rejected the bail petition of the woman accused in the matter. The Court ruled it inappropriate to grant bail and dismissed the application.
During the hearing, the accuseda’s counsel, Advocate Ravindra Singh Hiran presented arguments on various grounds seeking bail. Earlier as well, Advocate Hiran had filed bail applications for all the three accused before the Lower Court but these were also rejected.
Readers may recall that on December 23, 2025, a complaint was lodged at Sukher Police Station by a woman who alleged that after a party on the night of December 20, she was “gangraped” inside a moving car by the CEO of an IT company, a female executive employee and her husband.
Following the complaint, the police arrested all three accused, who are currently in judicial custody. The investigation in the case is being conducted by Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhuri Verma.
