Bhupalpura Police station has registered a FIR against a college student for taking objectionable photographs of a girl and blackmailing her.

As per the complaint, the father of the girl, who has been subjected to this blackmail for quite a few months now, recorded his statement saying that his daughter has been blackmailed by a boy named Shashank Vaishnav.

The girls father reported that his daughter, who is in college, had been keeping low and silent for quite some months.  On prodding and cajoling, the girl finally opened up.  She informed her father that a boy named Shashank had been shadowing her for the last two years.  He had been trying to get up close and friendly with her.

One day, he gave her sweets and the sweets had intoxicants in them. She fell unconscious after eating the sweets. The accused, then snapped some objectionably pictures of the girl.  Subsequently, he had been using these photos to bully and blackmail the girl into submission.

Police have recorded the statement and are investigating the matter.
