Sonia Sharma, hailing from Udaipur was shot by her husband in South Rohini, New Delhi, yesterday evening. The lady has survived the bullet and is currently recuperating in hospital.

As per information received, Sonia and her husband had been living separately since 2016. Few days back Sonia came to Delhi to visit her ailing mother in law who had suffered a partial paralysis.

Sonia was fired at by her husband yesterday night at around 10:30pm after a heated argument broke out between the two. The man took out his pistol and fired at Sonia. Sonia was however lucky as the bullet grazed past her abdomen.

Sonia has been hospitalised and is recuperating. A case has been registered and Police has started investigating the matter. Police have recoverd an empty bullet shell from the scene.

The sister of the accused however said that her brother is being falsely implicated in the case. She said that Police came to their place and have taken the DVR to check the CCTV recordings.

Police said that the couple got married three years back and also have a 2.5 year old son.
