Nayna Rathod, 34 was allegedly strangled to death at her house in Pashawnath township, Naroda, Ahmedabad. A case of murder has been lodged against her husband Balvantsinh.

Nayna and Balvantsinh, both hailing from Udaipur had married in 2005. They have two sons aged 12 and 8 years. According to complaint lodged by Bharatsinh Chavda, Nayna’s brother, it is alleged that Balvantsinh had strangulated her to death. Police said that there were strangulation marks on Nayna’s neck and they have accordingly lodged a case against Balvantsinh.

As per the complaint, Balvantsinh used to frequently pick up quarrels with Nayna. These quarrels related to monetary issues. Balvantsinh had borrowed Rs 2 Lakh from Nayna’s father Natuji Chavda. Balvantsinh had promised to repay the money in sometime. When Chavda demanded the money back, Balvantsinh picked up fights with Nayna.

On Sunday, Bharatsinh got a call from his father stating that Nayna had died. On investigation Police found that Balvantsinh had fled from the house at around 1 pm.
