Udaipur Police is set to form social media groups for keeping the law and order situation in the city under control. The initiative has been taken at the behest of new SP Kunwar Rashtradeep.

SHO of all the Police station have been told that all Beat Constables need to form a social media group and enrol about 200 people within his area into the group. This has been done to provide the actual ground situation to people whenever law and order situation goes out of hand and rumours start flowing rampantly.

SP believes that this way Police will be able to connect with around 60k-70k people with the social media groups and whenever condition of law and order situation going out of hand emerges, passing on actual information within the group will help in keeping things under control.
