GRP Ajmer has recovered 10,000 air gun pellets and 50 barrel spring seized from a parcel being carried in the Rail Postal service compartment.

SP (GRP Ajmer) Puja Awana informed that Ram Avatar, SHO, GRP Ajmer got a tip-off that illegal arms and ammunition were being transferred via a parcel in the Rail Postal service compartment. The arms and ammunition were being transferred from Udaipur to Imphal, Manipur.

Acting on the tip-off, GRP Ajmer carried out a search in the Rail Postal service compartment. On search, a carton in white plastic bag revealed 50 spring barrels that go inside an air gun, 20 iron boxes each having 500 pieces of air gun pellets.

Police is now investigating the sender and recipient details to understand the intended use of the pellets and barrel.
